It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Taylor! My family and I really love using the
Disney Dining Plan when we're on vacation because we love the flexibility it gives us in our dining choices. With
over 200 restaurants currently accepting Dining Plan credits, there really are options for everyone from adventurous eaters to those with even the pickiest palates.
The middle tier of the Dining Plan is the one I usually pick for my family too because I feel like it gives us the greatest flexibility to choose our favorite Quick-Service and Table-Service restaurants while also giving us the opportunity to try places that are new to us that we've been looking forward to visiting. When you're eating at a restaurant that's participating in the Disney Dining Plan, you'll find that there aren't a lot of restrictions when it comes to what you can order from the menu. If it's listed on the menu as an entrée or dessert, it will likely be included as part of the Dining Plan. There are a few exceptions, like when signature restaurants use some luxury ingredients like caviar or Wagyu beef from Japan in select menu items, but it will be marked clearly on the menu with a surcharge that you can pay if you want to order it using your Table-Service credits. These types of dishes are not very common, so the general rule of thumb is if it's an entrée or dessert, you're welcome to order it. The Cast Member serving you will ask at the beginning of your meal if you're using the Disney Dining Plan, and that's a great opportunity to ask any specific questions that you may have in the moment.
I hope this answers your question, Taylor, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
