Hi Jan and welcome to planDisney!
Christmastime is my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World! I love seeing the festive decorations all around the theme parks,
Disney Resort hotels and
Disney Springs. I especially love how
Toy Story Land in
Disney's Hollywood Studios is decorated for the holidays and seeing the Green Army Men march the streets in their candy cane striped scarves. My son's favorite thing to do is take a photo with the larger-than-life Hamm sugar cookie and the Alien ornament balls. Find a
PhotoPass photographer to get some really fun shots!
Roundup Rodeo BBQ is a family favorite of ours! I was able to snag a reservation the first week it opened and we love coming back to visit for a good meal. It's such a fun addition to Hollywood Studios and the theme is fantastic! Toy Story is my favorite Pixar movie, so it's really cool to dine "inside the story". I'm taking a look at
dining reservations for Roundup Rodeo BBQ and it looks like there are lots of tables of 5+ available, but possibly not on the dates you are visiting. For example, I'm finding tables for 5 available for the next few days and also on some days in mid-December. December is a really busy time of year at the theme parks, so dining reservations book up quickly. The good news is that availability is always changing because Guests are constantly adjusting their plans, so I suggest that you keep checking back. I am often able to find hard to get reservations in the week leading up to my vacation and especially the day before. In my opinion, the quickest way to search for Disney dining reservations is on the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. I can pull it up whenever I am thinking about it, which is usually in car line at school pickup.
Please
stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
