Ahoy there, Melissa! Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for sailing to us with your question as you prepare to set sail for adventure with the Disney Cruise Line.
You have an exciting week ahead, and I'm sure you are getting ready to zip up your suitcases and have a great time with Captains Minnie and Mickey. If you are wanting a packing checklist as you make your final preparations for travel, you can read over
this packing list as a guide. And don't forget to leave room for a souvenir or two! There are some fun shops onboard and goodies to explore at each port you'll be visiting.
When it comes to carry-on luggage for your sailing, Disney Cruise Line allows one carry-on luggage and one briefcase, tote bag, or purse per guest. My kids like to carry on a backpack as their personal item and that works great too. Your carry-on luggage needs to be no larger than 22 inches high, 14 inches wide, and 9 inches deep in dimension.
Be sure to keep any medication, valuables (like jewelry and electronics), and your important personal travel documentation with you in your carry-on luggage as you board the ship. I even like to pack a swimsuit, sunscreen, and a hat in my day bag so that I can get to the pool area as quickly as possible. I like to enjoy lunch and then soak up the sunshine as I lounge by the pool. It's my perfect recipe for the best embarkation day ever.
Remember to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to your smartphone before leaving home. That poolside lounging time is the perfect opportunity to use the app to acquaint yourself with all of the activities scheduled for your itinerary. Scroll through and click the heart icon to favorite anything you don't want to miss. The app will send a notification when it's time for the fun to begin.
Have an amazing voyage. Please visit planDisney again if you have any more questions. Or visit us @plandisneypanel on Instagram for regular tips and tricks and a daily dose of Disney Magic.
Bon Voyage,
