Hiya, Nancy!
Welcome to planDisney. I am so very glad that you are here. Nancy, you ask a great question. Finding the perfect hotel accommodations can make a vacation go from great to magical. So, how do room requests work at The Most Magical Place on Earth?
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is beyond amazing. This elegant and iconic hotel is a dream come true for its Guests. From the marvelous dining options to monorail service, this space has it all. As a repeat Guest, I am sure I do not need to tell you the many reasons this resort is a must stay. I am so very glad your last room fit like Cinderella's glass slipper. You may certainly request this location again. Room requests for Walt Disney World Resorts are considered, but cannot be guaranteed. My first recommendation for trying to receive the room you request is to be sure you book the right accommodations. An example of this would be desiring a theme park view, but booking a garden view room. This type of request would be less likely to be honored. If you are hoping to stay in Sugar Loaf on your next visit, you would want to reserve a
Sugar Loaf Building room when booking your vacation. You can also make select requests in
My Disney Experience. Some of these options can include transportation proximity, floor choice, and elevator access. The choices available will vary by resort.
If you want to request the exact same room that your family enjoyed before, I would recommend having your reservation notated by a Cast Member. This is still not a guarantee but it will help make your request known. You can do this by speaking to a
Cast Member by phone before your arrival or notifying your travel planner. When you return to the magic, be sure to stop by the front desk. A Cast Member at the resort may be able to assist you with your desired location.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that a Fairy Godparent can make your room dreams come true. I hope that your trip is memorable and magical!
See ya real soon,
Tammy
