Hi there! Would it be likely (historically based) that Fantasmic will be showing mid-week from the 12th - 16th December (due to being the Christmas period)? Thanks for your time.

    Hiya, Dale!

    Welcome to planDisney!

I think a Holiday Time visit to The Happiest Place on Earth is a fantastic idea. Be sure to keep up with the Disney Parks Blog as they'll soon release all kinds of helpful holiday info, like the best treats and eats as well as seasonal surprises you simply won't want to miss. You can even follow them across all of your social media accounts so you'll never miss a beat!

This is a great question that actually has a few different factors. The short answer is if Fantasmic! is showing this time of yEAR, your best bets to catch a performance would be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. (Pro Tip: There are usually two showings per night during the busy seasons. You can also catch the projections and fireworks that are above Sleeping Beauty Castle from this area, too!) I say 'if' because this show does rely on a few other attractions (the Mark Twain Riverboat, Tom Sawyer Island, etc) and if any of those elements have a refurbishment or unscheduled downtime then those would affect the overall show. (I don't believe anything is scheduled for that week, especially since the show recently reopened from the pandemic pause.)

The good news is that the Entertainment Calendar for your Disney dates opens in about two weeks. Another way to tell what might be going on is if you see any times available for Fantasmic! Dining Packages; this is one of my top hashtag Disney planning hacks because while the entertainment options aren't posted until 30-45 days before, Dining Reservations open for booking 60 days in advance.

Bonus Tip: Don't miss the other Holiday happenings, like World of Color - Season of Light and the Disney Festival of Holidays, both in Disney California Adventure Park

I'm so sorry that this answer didn't super clEAR up your question, Dale, but I'm crossing my fingers and wishing for extra pixie dust for your holly-jolly holiday.
