Hi Sarah! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
You're going to have an out-of-this-galaxy immersive experience at
Savi's Workshop at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland Park. I'm sure you're excited to become one with the Force. But beware of the Dark Side of the Force. Don't let it dominate your destiny.
While Disneyland Resort can ship to some locations internationally, it cannot ship to Australia, unfortunately. I'm sorry if that's not the news you were hoping for today. Let's see if we can't figure out the best way to get your lightsabers back home.
You have a couple of options. First, you possibly can carry your lightsabers onto the plane home. My boys have traveled with their lightsabers on domestic flights successfully. We felt more secure having the lightsabers with us than we would have if we packed and checked them. The US Transportation Security Administration allows lightsabers in both checked and carry-on luggage. So you won't have any difficulty carrying on going through TSA. However, since this is an international flight, check with your airline to determine whether they allow lightsabers as carry-ons. If not, you'll need to check the lightsaber.
Your second option is to take your lightsabers off the resort property to be shipped by one of the nearby shipping services. While I can't quote shipping rates for you, there are several choices within walking distance. If you don't have access to a car, you can use a rideshare service if you don't want to walk. You'll be doing enough walking in the parks, so that would be understandable!
You never know what Characters you'll see on Batuu. We like to grab a snack or a beverage and hang out in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, waiting to see who will wander by. One of our favorite places to grab a quick something is Ronto Roasters. They have tasty breakfast options too!
May the Force be with you.
Elizabeth
