Can I have my lightsaber sent to my hotel after I complete the build? I don’t think I would want to carry it around the park all day. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Bright suns, Stella. Welcome to planDisney. It's always fun to see a fellow North Carolinian stop by to chit-chat about an upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

Stella, I am so thrilled to know that you were able to land a prime reservation spot at Savi's Workshop to build your very own lightsaber. This is a truly unique experience that everyone raves about. I know you are going to have a great time.

At this time, merchandise pick-up at the front entrance of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and merchandise delivery to the Walt Disney World Resort hotels is still temporarily on pause. Unfortunately, you won't be able to utilize this service if you are visiting anytime soon. It's hard to give you an exact answer because I don't know the timeframe in which you are headed to the Most Magical Place On Earth. If you aren't visiting anytime in the next few days, you never know things could change. I'd suggest keeping an eye on the package pickup section of the Walt Disney World website for any updates to this service in the meantime. I have my fingers crossed this service will return soon for you to take advantage of, Stella, because it was really nice not having to carry things around all day.

Another option for you to consider would be to ship your lightsaber directly to your house. There are a few ways of doing this. If you'd like to ship it right after you've built it, you can head over to the Droid Depot or Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities and they will be happy to assist you with shipping it home. If you'd like to enjoy your lightsaber for a few days, you can also ship it home directly from your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. This service is an additional fee but it might be worth it depending on if you've flown or driven down to Walt Disney World.

I hope this helps you plan out what to do with your lightsaber, Stella. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help.

May the force be with you!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
