Bright suns, Victor and welcome to planDisney!
As you prepare to set off on your adventure to Batuu and beyond, I'm happy to be one of our Star Wars experts among the planDisney Panelists here to assist you with some special intergalactic intel.
I carried my lightsaber around on one of my first visits to
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, and was pleasantly surprised at how easily I was able to have it accommodated on many attractions despite how long the blade and hilt were together (along with of course, the inherent dangers of wielding something that should cut through most thing besides beskar).
You'll be happy to hear that you'll be permitted to hop on board
Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run with your lightsaber, as long as you're able to safely stow it at your feet for the duration of your flight where it wouldn't bounce around or affect any of the other crew members on your mission. To prevent any damage or scratches during your ride, I highly recommend having a carrying case for it like the ones I spotted at
Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities. Policies may be subject to change without prior notice and while lightsabers similar in length to
what you'd find being crafted over at Savi's Workshop are normally allowed within the cockpit, Cast Members may have to look and determine whether something much longer than that like a double-bladed lightsaber may be acceptable.
I hope this helps, Victor! Bear in mind that each attraction may have their own restrictions against what guests can carry with them, so an intense looping ride like
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith may require you to leave your lightsaber behind with a non-rider or stored somewhere safe before you can ride. Come back again to planDisney
if you're ever in search of more of our knowledge or advice - about Star Wars experiences or otherwise - and we'll be happy to show you the way!
May the Force be with you always!
