Hiya Spencer!
Welcome to planDisney!
Lightning Lane Multi Pass is one of the best ways to reduce wait times in the Parks. I love using it on days when I want to ride a lot of attractions and I know it will be busy.
When selecting the three attractions for your Park day beforehand, you have to select one experience from one group, which you refer to as Tier A, and then two more from another group, which you refer to as Tier B. Only
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park has one group to select from. The first group has the most popular attractions in the Parks and is probably going to be the ones that most people ensure they enjoy on their trip. It's smart to make a Lightning Lane selection for the earliest part of the day because as soon as you use that Lightning Lane you can pick another attraction from either group (subject to availability). Now, if you are late and let your Lightning Lane expire, you will have to visit a Cast Member from the Guest Experience Team located under the blue umbrellas throughout the Park or at
Guest Relations to reset it. I verified with a Cast Member and they recommend that you do not let the experience expire. Modify it before it does so you don't waste time dealing with the resetting. If you let a selection expire you won't be able to book another attraction from any group until that reset happens. Set your alarms and keep an eye on your

Did you know that you can also use Lightning Lane Single Pass on the same day? I am a huge fan of
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and an ideal day is to enjoy it more than once a day. I always purchase a Lightning Single Pass and grab a spot on the
Virtual Queue. This way I can try to get more chances to enjoy the ride with my favorite song, "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" by Tears For Fears.
I hope that this helps and you have a magical time!
Happy Planning!
