Hey Howdy Hey Howard and welcome back to planDisney!
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass options are key to your day in the park. They will be your tools to get access to shorter lines for many of your top attractions so you can spend more time enjoying your experience in the parks and less time waiting in lines. They do come with a bit of a learning curve to know the ins and outs of how they work. Not to worry Howard, you've got a friend in me to give you the details.
When your window opens and have your chance to purchase and book your Lightning Lanes, you will be prompted which members of your party you want to purchase this option for. Once purchased, you will be asked to book 3 Lightning Lane Multi Pass experiences for all Guests purchased. The great part is that you do not have to experience the same attraction. Your party can be split up just as you mentioned Howard. You will be asked which Guests want to experience the attraction selected so if a few want to ride Space Mountain and others Tiana's Bayou Adventure, you can!
Friendly reminder that the window for purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass depends on your hotel accommodations. If you are staying onsite at a Disney Resort hotel, your window opens 6 days before your arrival date. If staying offsite, this will be 3 days.
One tip that I have for you to maximize your time in the parks is to consider stacking your Lightning Lanes. When booking your Lightning Lanes, you should be given several times to choose from for your experiences. Typically, the parks will hit their busiest times around late morning or early afternoon which is a great time to have your Lightning Lanes booked. Earlier in the morning and especially if you take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry, will give you some time to enjoy the parks with smaller crowds and shorter wait times. Feel free to experience a few attractions and then stroll on to your Lightning Lanes when the parks are at their busiest just like a rock star!
A big part of the enjoyment of a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort is planning your vacation and I hope you are so far. Please feel free to stop back with any other questions you may have as we are always happy to help!
To Infinity and Beyond,
Nick
