Welcome to planDisney, Valeria!
I love it when a fellow Floridian stops by to ask a question about an upcoming Walt Disney World visit. It is my pleasure to give you more information about how the
Lightning Lane Multi and Single Passes work.
Skipping the standard attraction queues sometimes make all the difference when visiting the Disney Parks. There are some attractions that I could wait minutes on minutes to ride (like
Avatar Flight of Passage—it’s that good), but most of the time, having Lightning Lane access is the way to go. In order to tap into a Lightning Lane entry point, you will need to purchase a Lightning Lane Multi or Single Pass and have an experience pre-booked.
You will indeed need a linked theme park ticket or annual pass in order to purchase a Lightning Lane pass (up to 7 days before your vacation when staying at an eligible hotel and up to 3 days before if staying off-property). Once you’re logged in to the
My Disney Experience App, you will see a section near the top of the main page that’s all about purchasing a Lighting Lane pass. As long as you have a linked ticket, you’ll be able to book your experience selections.
Valeria, you have an exciting visit ahead! If you have additional Disney vacation planning questions,
give us a holler here at planDisney. Any of the panelists will be more than happy to lend a Mickey hand.
Magic always,
LeAndra
