Can you use lightning lane to get a good viewing spot for Happily Ever After?

Hey Howdy Hey Veronica and welcome to planDisney!

The purchase of Genie+ and access to Lightning Lane Entrances helps to make your day in the parks so much more efficient. Being able to spend more time enjoying the parks and less time waiting in lines is always a plus! Thank you for your question about the specifics when it comes to availability for fireworks shows as options for Lightning Lanes. I will be happy to give you more information on your options.

Veronica, when it comes to making Lightning Lane selections, you will have so many options from attractions, meeting characters and specific spots in parades. The full list of your options in each park may change from time to time so make sure to keep an eye on things as your date of travel is coming up. Currently, positions to view Happily Ever After in Magic Kingdom are not an option that is offered with Lightning Lanes. Not to worry though, you still do have some options for prime seating.

One super fun way to experience this nighttime spectacular is with a dessert party! Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties can be booked as a Pre-Party, Post-Party or Seats & Sweets. The titles will explain when you will have access to the delectable desserts, either before, after or both paired perfectly with timing and reserved viewing areas for the show. This can be a great way to avoid the need to get a spot 1-2 hours before the show starts and will allow you more time to enjoy the park. These parties do come with a separate purchase price which varies depending on the day.

Your other option would be to view the show from a different location. Most of the prime viewing spots for the show are on Main Street, U.S.A. or in the hub right in front of Cinderella Castle. This would be a great place to view the fireworks for the first time to get the full experience. If you are looking for something a little different, you might want to check out neighboring lands for the show. One of my family's favorite places to watch the show is Fantasyland.  Fireworks are launched from around Cinderella Castle as well as behind it outside of the parks. In Fantasyland, you will be surrounded by fireworks and able to experience the show in a whole new light. The best part is most people will be in the front of the castle so you won't have to fight crowds nearly as much and after the show you can make a quick getaway to a nearby attraction with lower wait times.

I hope this helped give you a few options to view this spectacular show. If you have any further questions, please feel free to let us know, we are always happy to help!
