As you know, the FastPass+ service is no longer available at Walt Disney World Resort. Instead, the
electrifying news is out, and the Disney Genie+ service has been launched. I’m happy to
en-lighten you about the Disney Genie service, Disney Genie+, and the Individual Lightning Lane selections.
The
Disney Genie service itself is complimentary. The service is built into the
My Disney Experience Mobile app, where Guests can input their preferences within the app and enhance their experience. For instance, with the Disney Genie service, Guests can input the types of experiences they prefer, and it will help create the ideal itinerary using said preferences. It also shows current and predicted wait times throughout the day for attractions at the parks.
For an additional fee, Guests can purchase the
Disney Genie+ service. This service allows them to select from 40+ experiences to go through the Lightning Lane entrances. Guests can make selections, one at a time, the day of their visit, beginning at 7 AM Eastern.
And along with this, for the extremely popular attractions, there are the
Individual Lightning Lane selections. This can be purchased with or without the Disney Genie+ service, and Guests can buy up to 2 per day.
If you have already purchased your theme park tickets and wish to add the Disney Genie+ service, you can do so by following these steps:
-Open up your My Disney Experience Mobile app
-Tap on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner
-Click on "My Genie Day"
-Select "Get Disney Genie+ Service" in purple
-Once you have read through the description of Disney Genie+, please select "Get Disney Genie+ Service."
-Select the members of your party you would like to purchase the service for
-Once you have reviewed the details, please continue to confirm your purchase
After confirming and completing your purchase, you should be all set!
