Hey there, Jason! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
If you're getting ready to head to
Walt Disney World Resort you're definitely going to want to check out the new
Disney Genie+ Service! In a similar vein to what used to be the FastPass system, Disney Genie+ now lets Guests book return times for their favorite rides and attractions with
Lightning Lanes! After you've booked your Lightning Lane return time on Genie+ you'll have free time to explore other areas of the Parks, grab your favorite snack (like a Warm Cinnamon Roll from
Gaston's Tavern!), or watch a show that never has a line, like
Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire, before returning to walk right onto the attraction.
If you know you're planning to use this amazing service to essentially "skip" the lines during every Theme Park day of your trip, you're welcome to add it right on to your multi-day package when you officially book your vacation plans. Guests planning to use the service every day of their trip can add Disney Genie+ Service on at any point before their trip. If you think you may only use the Disney Genie+ at one or two Parks or on one or two days you'll be able to purchase the service any time after midnight on each day you plan to use it.
All Guests, no matter when they purchased Disney Genie+ or whether they are Guests of a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, are able to book their first Lightning Lane attraction return time at 7 a.m. on the day of their Park visit. With over 40 rides and attractions included from all four Theme Parks, your biggest decision about Genie+ won't be whether to get it or not, but which ride to book your first Lightning Lane attraction for!
If you're looking to purchase an
Individual Lightning Lane for the most popular attractions within each of the four Theme Parks, that is a separate purchase. You do not have to purchase Disney Genie+ Service in order to purchase Individual Lightning Lanes. These attractions and prices tend to change frequently, so definitely check them out right before you leave for your trip! Guests of Disney Resorts Collection hotels are able to book their first Individual Lightning Lane attractions at 7 a.m. each day, while Guests staying off of the Resort property can book their first at the time that the Theme Park they are visiting officially opens.
I hope you get to try out the Genie and he grants all your wishes!
