The Most Magical Place on Earth. The Lightning Lane Multi Pass is a must for our family as it allows us to maximize our time in the parks and plan our day more efficiently. Let’s see what we can do to ensure your family has an amazing day.
Ok so you can purchase a
Lightning Lane Multi / Single Pass for any of the 4 parks that you will visit. There is also a
Lightning Lane Premier Pass available. Let’s break each of them down.
The Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows you to skip the standby line and instead join a shorter line for select attractions and experiences. Each park has numerous rides and experiences included with the Multi Pass. You can click the link I’ve provided to get a complete list of rides included at each park. The way it works is once you have purchased your passes, you can pre-select up to 3 rides for your day. Once you have scanned into your first pass of the day, you can immediately book your next one and continue to do so the whole day. One thing to note about this multi pass is that you will purchase it for the first park you will be visiting for the day. If you have the park hopper ticket option then you can also book Lightning Lanes for the park that you will hop to once you have scanned into your first pass of the day. There is no additional charge.
Each park has 1 or 2 rides that are Lightning Lane Single Pass options. These rides are not included in the multi pass and are purchased individually if you like. Rides like Tron Lightcycle / Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance would be a few examples. You can purchase up to 2 single passes per person for any of the parks per day.
The Lightning Lane Premier Pass is the ultimate Lightning Lane pass option. This pass allows you one-time entry into the Lightning Lane of each ride or experience, including single-pass rides for one park per day. This is the next best option to a VIP Tour in my opinion.
So if you are staying at a Disney Resort Collection Hotel or other Select Hotel, you may begin booking your Lightning Lanes at 7 AM EST 7 days in advance. Based on your arrival date, you can begin booking them on Tuesday, August 25th. Open your
My Disney Experience app and tap the Purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass button. You can also choose any Single Pass experiences as well. From here, you will want to choose the date that you will be visiting and the park. Next, you will add everyone in your party and choose 3 experiences to start with. Please note that you can only book additional Lightning Lane experiences after you have scanned in to your first one for the day.
My top tip for using Lightning Lane Multi Pass is to remember that once you scan into your ride, you can book another pass while you wait in line. I would also monitor the My Disney Experience app for any rides that do not show a time slot you prefer. Guests frequently cancel their reservations, and you can then get their time slot.
