When going to Lighthouse Cay, can we just take a state ID or drivers license to get back on board so that we can leave our passports on the ship? Or do we need to take our passports?

Hello, Krystal! Welcome to planDisney, where my pals and I are happy to have you here.

How exciting to be planning a visit to Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point! You are going to love the soft sand, beautiful ocean, and things to do while visiting The Bahamas. I'm happy to share that you can bring your driver's license alongside your Key to the World Card or DisneyBand+ to disembark and then reboard the ship. Feel free to leave your passport in your stateroom!

I hope that information helps you feel shipshape and ready to sail. It's a great idea to bring a beach tote to bring some essentials with you to the beach. I like to pack a reusable water bottle or two to stay hydrated, plenty of sun protection, and a book to read. My kids like to bring a small ball to toss back and forth on the sand. You'll be able to grab clean towels for your cruise crew after disembarking the tram, so a bag that can fit the towels you will need to carry is handy.

I also recommend that the shoes you wear on Lookout Cay are nice and comfortable. If you haven't walked much in the sandals you packed, you might wish to bring your walking shoes and then switch to sandals right before you get to the sand. I'm speaking from experience here! I just want you to have the best time ever as you explore the port.

Krystal, please cruise back to planDisney again. We'll be here for you!

    Bon Voyage,
