How do you use the lightening pass

Hey there, hi there, Stephanie! Welcome to planDisney! As a fellow adventurer who loves to maximize his time in the parks, I'm absolutely thrilled to help you unlock the magic of Lightning Lane passes

Let's dive right in! You have two fantastic options to choose from: Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. Multi Pass allows you to choose from a long list of attractions that offer Lightning Lane entrances, like Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion (subject to availability, of course!). For those extra-special, super-popular attractions that everyone dreams of experiencing, there’s Lightning Lane Single Pass. Think of this as your golden ticket to minimizing your wait time for some of the resort’s most popular attractions, like the thrilling Radiator Springs Racers!

So, how do you harness the magic of Lightning Lane passes? Let’s start with Multi Pass. Once you've purchased your Lightning Lane Multi Pass and entered the park with your ticket, it's go-time! Your pass is activated, and you're ready to make your first Lightning Lane selection right in the Disneyland mobile app. Here's the quick step-by-step: Tap the menu button (three-lined icon) at the bottom right of your screen. Then, select "Wait Times & Showtimes". At the top, you'll see the "Tip Board" tab—just tap on that to see all the current attraction wait times and available Lightning Lane return times. Now, for a pro tip: See that "Show Only Lightning Lane Experiences" toggle switch? Give that a tap, and you'll only see the attractions offering Lightning Lane entrances.

Each attraction will show you the earliest time you can hop into the Lightning Lane, which can help you decide where your magical journey should begin. Once you've made your choice, simply select the attraction in the app and choose which members of your party will be joining you on this particular adventure. Traveling with a group? No problem! You can easily split up and conquer different attractions using Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

Once you've made your first selection, you might be wondering when you can make your next one. You can make another Lightning Lane selection either two hours after making your previous selection, or as soon as you've scanned your Lightning Lane Multi Pass at the entrance of your first attraction—whichever comes first!

The Lightning Lane Single Pass works a tad differently, but it's just as easy to redeem! Unlike the Multi Pass, you can only purchase a Single Pass once you've entered a park. You can do this in the Disneyland app by tapping the menu button and selecting "Lightning Lane Passes". You'll see the option to purchase a Single Pass there. My recommendation? Snag your spot sooner rather than later, as Lightning Lane Single Passes are subject to availability and can sometimes disappear faster than the Cheshire Cat!

I hope this helps you make the most of your time at the Disneyland Resort, Stephanie! If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask—we’re always here to add a little extra sparkle to your planning! Have a truly magical time!
