The FastPass system is not one of the 999 happy haunts at the Haunted Mansion, but it probably does deserve a tombstone in the graveyard leading into the mansion. That is the long way of saying that the FastPass is no longer in existence. But the great news is there’s a new sheriff in town, and Woody would approve! It’s the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass!
To use the Lightning Lane system, you’ll need to purchase your
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and/or the
Lightning Lane Single Pass in your
My Disney Experience app. Prices vary by day. Lightning Lane Multi Pass includes multiple attractions in each park that you can pre-plan up to three eligible attractions before your trip even begins! If you're a guest of a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can purchase your Lightning Lane selection 7 days before check-in. All other guests can do so 3 days before arrival.
Lightning Lane Single Pass is used to purchase a quick entry to a high-demand attraction in each park like
Tron Lightcycle Run in the Magic Kingdom and
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT.
My family recently used the Lightning Lane Multi Pass for a day at
Disney’s Hollywood Studios to ensure that a first time Walt Disney World friend was able to enjoy as many of the amazing attractions as possible. We selected
Slinky Dog Dash from the top tier of attractions and
Alien Swirling Saucers and
Toy Story Mania! as our remaining two original options. The minute we got in the queue for Slinky Dog Dash in the morning, we were able to select another attraction to add to our list. Every time you enjoy one attraction, you get to choose another! It allowed us to experience everything we wanted at Hollywood Studios that day! I highly recommend it!
