Greetings, Kris, and welcome to planDisney! If experiencing many of the popular attractions at the Disneyland Resort is a priority for you, then the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass is a great choice. Less time waiting in line means you can fit more fun into your day.
I have great news for you, Kris: Yes, when you purchase the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you'd be able to use it in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, provided that you have a valid
Park Hopper ticket or Magic Key pass. You'll just want to time your selections accordingly, because you won't be able to cross into the other park until 11 a.m.
While there are enough
participating attractions to get good use out of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass even if you stay in just one park, I do feel that it's best when paired with a Park Hopper ticket. Why not enjoy quicker access to both Space Mountain and the Incredicoaster? Here are a few tips for getting the most out of the multi pass:
- Start your day early (in the park you reserved) and make your first Lightning Lane selection just after you enter the park. Some popular attractions are more likely to have later return windows than others, especially as the day progresses. I recommend prioritizing Indiana Jones Adventure and Space Mountain in Disneyland, and Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! and Toy Story Midway Mania in California Adventure.
- Attractions can be booked one at a time. Once you redeem your current Lightning Lane selection, you’re free to make another. Otherwise, you can make a new selection after two hours have passed since your last booking.
- If you make a selection for an arrival time that is later in the day, you could try to modify your selection to an earlier time if a slot is available.
- Link each person's ticket in your party to your account in the Disneyland mobile app. That way, you can book Lightning Lane selections for everyone – it goes much smoother than each person booking on their own.
Don't forget that, with the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you'll enjoy unlimited digital downloads of
Disney PhotoPass photos you take that day. Stop at the various locations and have your photo taken against iconic backdrops. It's a great way to capture memories from your visit that will last long after you return home.
Kris, I hope you have a great time exploring the Disneyland Resort during your next visit. If you think of any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
