Hi, Tom! Welcome to planDisney! I'm happy to guide you through the steps of creating your vacation! The Walt Disney World Resort has taken
many thoughtful actions to keep Guests and Cast Members safe during this time. This includes limiting crowds, monitoring capacity at their theme parks, temperature screenings, and many physical distancing efforts!
The first thing that you should do when creating your vacation is set-up a
My Disney Experience account. You can do this by visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort website. Having your account set-up in advance, makes all other planning steps much more convenient!
Guests wishing to book just a hotel or a hotel/ticket package are able to do so for all dates in 2021! My preference is always to purchase a hotel/ticket package. I like knowing that everything is taken care of all at once. Completing your hotel/ticket package takes care of a big part of your planning! While there is a wide variety of hotels available in the
Disney Resorts Collection, some of my favorites are Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Coronado Springs - Gran Destino Tower, Disney's Riviera Resort, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa!
Once you have your tickets purchased, you need to make your park reservations! You will make your park reservations using the
Disney Park Pass Reservation System. You can login to the reservation system with your My Disney Experience account. You'll use the reservation system to select the parks you wish to visit on specific days of your vacation. This system helps to monitor crowd levels and crowd capacity at the four Disney Parks!
You can book your hotel/ticket package using the Walt Disney World Resort website or by calling a friendly Cast Member at (407)-939-5277. The benefit of the website is that it is quick and convenient. The benefit of calling a Cast Member is that they are very helpful and knowledgeable!
Tom, one other extra tip that I want to share might help you save some vacation money a few months from now! While I do advise booking your hotel/ticket package now, it is possible that
money-saving offers might be made available to Guests wishing to visit during the late fall/early winter. If you find that a money-saving deal is offered after you book your hotel/ticket package, you can always check to see if the deal can be applied to your existing reservation. I have done this many times! Money-saving offers for late fall/winter are usually made available in late summer.
