When you make Lighning Lane reservations with Genie+ is there a grace period window of time around the reservation before and after within which you can reach the ride?

Welcome back to planDisney, Steve! I'm so glad that I get to answer another question about your vacation that's coming up just around the corner. It's such a good idea to get to know how Disney Genie+ Service works before you arrive at The Most Magical Place On Earth next week. The more time you spend at home familiarizing yourself with the ins and outs, the more time you can spend enjoying your vacation with your family while you're there.

When you book a Lightning Lane return time, you typically have a grace period of about five minutes on either end, meaning that you can tap in five minutes before the start time or five minutes after the end time. If you don't use your Lightning Lane selection within that period of time, it will expire and disappear from your My Disney Experience app and you will no longer be able to use it. If you think you're going to miss your Lightning Lane return time, the best option is to modify it! You can select "Modify Plan" from the Disney Genie Tip Board and choose the next available time for the attraction you want to ride.

I hope this answers your question, Steve, and we're more than happy to answer any more questions you might have about your upcoming trip!
