Hi, Elise! Welcome to planDisney!
You’ll be glad to know that
Disney Resort hotels are well-equipped for even the tiniest Mouseketeers! From
complimentary cribs and high chairs in your room to splash zones and zero-entry pools, Disney really thinks through what
families with little ones need. Whether you’re relaxing by the pool or heading back from the parks for a mid-day nap, they’ve made it easier to enjoy every moment with your baby in tow.
Yes, Disney Resort hotel pools do provide complimentary life jackets, and they come in a range of sizes to help keep little swimmers safe. The sizes are typically labeled as follows: Infant/Child (under 30 pounds), Child (30–50 pounds), and Youth (50–90 pounds). With your little one at 21 pounds and 11 months old, the Infant/Child size should be a great fit. Life jackets are usually available near the pool area on clearly marked racks or you can ask a lifeguard to help you find the right size.
Here’s a tip: Life jackets are first-come, first-served, so it’s a good idea to head to the pool earlier in the day if you want the best selection of sizes. And don’t forget to pack swim diapers (or should I say, nappies!). Disney requires them for all little ones who aren’t potty trained. Plus, if your resort has a splash pad or water play area (many of them do!), it can be a great, low-stress way for babies to safely enjoy the water.
