Welcome to planDisney, Brandon.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by with your questions for us. It looks like the news is out! After being closed for over a year due to the pandemic, Disneyland Resort recently announced that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will officially reopen on April 30, 2021. It’s been so long since we were able to stroll down Main Street, U.S.A., enjoy a DOLE Whip at the Tiki Juice Bar in Adventureland or scream at the top of our lungs on Incredicoaster. I’m looking forward to planning our family’s upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort theme parks and it looks like you’re ready to get back to the “Happiest Place on Earth” also, Brandon!
When the Disneyland Resort theme parks reopen, park attendance will be managed through a new theme park reservation system. In order to enter a park, Guests will need a valid park admission and a theme park reservation for the same park on the same day. While there aren’t a lot of details yet, I have a hunch it will be similar to the current
Disney Park Pass reservation system that has been in use at
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida since it reopened last summer. Unfortunately, new theme park ticket sales remain paused at this time, and we don’t have information on ticket prices either. To be in compliance with current guidance from the State of California, for the time being, only California residents are allowed to enjoy the theme parks during the initial phased reopening.
I anticipate more detailed information will be shared soon by Disney Management regarding reopening guidelines. Before you know it, Brandon, you’ll be back to the parks enjoying jungle skewers at Bengal Barbecue and checking out the
all-new Avengers Campus in no time! Please be sure to stay tuned to
Disneyland.com and
Disney Parks Blog for the latest park news.
