let's say we spend the day at epcot but we have dinner reservations in the magic kingdom, do we have to have the park hopper option in order to keep from having to pay for both parks in the same day?

    Hi Kim!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

Yes, if you wish to enter more than one park in a day, whether it's to enjoy time at the parks, or for a dinner
reservation, or for any other reason, you do need the Park Hopper Option added to your Base Tickets.

With Base Tickets, you may enter, leave, and re-enter one park per day, as many times as you wish.

If you have any other questions, please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation!
