Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Maryam!
You are as welcome as can be here at planDisney. Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. At planDisney, you are part of our 'ohana. 'Ohana means family, and that means nobody gets left behind. So, we are always happy to help fellow Guests with questions so you can maximize the magic of your vacation.
Maryam, I just did a bit of research to confirm the answer to your question. There is a change for Magic Kingdom for tickets requiring a theme park reservation, including
Annual Passholders. As of July 20th, a park reservation will be required to visit Magic Kingdom every day of the week (regardless of the time of day you enter) for Annual Passholders. That means if you want to start your day at Magic Kingdom, you'll need to have a reservation specifically for that park even after 2:00 p.m.
This change is for a limited time, in anticipation of the high demand for the new
Disney Starlight: Dream The Night Away Parade. Mickey likes to know how many Guests to anticipate during this high-demand period, which is the reason for the change.
However, if you start your day in another park, such as EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, or Disney's Animal Kingdom, and plan to park hop, you will just need the
theme park reservation for your first park, but you can still visit Magic Kingdom later in the day without a Magic Kingdom reservation, as long as you tapped into your first park first. So if your reservation is for EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom, head there first, and then you can venture over to Magic Kingdom whenever you're ready. Just make sure to enter the first reserved park before hopping.
You can only hold one park reservation per day, but once you've tapped into your reserved park, hopping is fair game for the rest of the day. No double booking is required, and plenty of magical park hopping fun awaits after your first park entry!
I hope this helps you, Maryam! If you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, stop back and see me, and I will be so happy to help you. After all, you 've got a friend in me!
Magically Yours,
Keri
