Hi, Jeffrey! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation where various people in your travel party are arriving on different dates can seem a bit tricky, but I would be happy to help you sort everything out.
When you book a
vacation package which includes your
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room, your
theme park tickets, and a
Disney Dining Plan, every guest included in that reservation will receive the same theme park tickets and Disney Dining Plan. Therefore, the person who is arriving later in the week would have unused theme park tickets and dining entitlements. The member of your party who is arriving late could book their own separate vacation package in a different room. If that is not an option for you, I would recommend making a room-only reservation.
After making a room-only reservation, you can buy your theme park tickets separately. Making this purchase separately will allow you to select the appropriate number of tickets for each person in your travel party. However, if you wish to use a Disney Dining Plan, you must purchase it for the same number of days for everyone on your resort hotel reservation. Basically, you will either have some extra dining entitlements, or you may need to forgo using a Disney Dining Plan on this particular trip. If you need further assistance with sorting this all out, please feel free to call the
Help Center phone number for Disney Resort Hotel Reservations.
Wishing you a Walt Disney World Resort vacation full of magical memories!
Samantha
