Welcome to planDisney Justin!
Walt Disney World is really, really big so I am glad you are planning ahead with transportation. It does take a bit of planning depending on where you are going.
To get to any theme park from any resort, plan on about 30 minutes once you are on the complimentary Disney Transportation boat/
bus/Disney Skyliner, etc. It can be much shorter, but I like to allow a cushion of time. Remember to add in wait times, especially for buses as you can wait sometimes 20 minutes for a bus to pick you up.
If you plan to go resort-to-resort, your travel time will be much longer as you will likely need to transfer buses (plan on 90 minutes of travel time). For example, to get from an All-Star Resort to Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner, you will need to take a bus to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, then transfer to an Animal Kingdom Lodge bus. When I am going resort-to-resort, I usually just opt to hire an Uber to save loads of time. But it is up to you!
When
traveling to a destination, feel free to chat with a friendly Cast Member who will be happy to give you transportation options and travel time. Some commutes are quick! For example, Disney's Beach Club is just a quick 7-10 minute walk to the International Gateway in EPCOT. Others will be much longer so plan accordingly. If you have specific destinations, let us know and we can give you some travel pointers.
Wherever you plan to dine, make your
Dining Reservations so you have a wonderful table waiting for you when you get there. Enjoy!
