How can I let someone else use my dvc booking if I cannot make it?

    Welcome to planDisney, Lisa!

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question today.  I'm so sorry to hear that your plans for your upcoming Disney Vacation Club Resort stay have changed –– what a bummer! But while you might not be able to enjoy the magic of a Disney vacation for yourself, how cool that you're thinking of letting a friend or family member experience it in your place.  If you ask me, that definitely makes you an honorary Fairy Godmother!  Let me share a few details about modifying the Guests on your existing reservation to help you set everything up.

For me, the quickest and easiest way to modify a Disney Vacation Club reservation –– whether I need to change my dates, Guests, or other details –– is by using the Disney Vacation Club website.  All you'll need to do is sign in using your DVC account credentials, hover over the "My DVC" tab, and select "My Dashboard" from the drop-down menu.  Under "My Vacation Plans", click the reservation you're trying to modify and select "View or Modify Details".  By clicking "Modify" next to "Guest Information", you'll be able to add or remove Guests from your travel party.

Just keep in mind that the one thing you won't be able to do through the website is to modify or remove the primary contact for the reservation (listed as "Adult 1") –– I'm guessing this is probably you since you originally made the reservation for yourself.  To do this, you'll either need to contact Member Services at (800) 800-9800 or you should be able to use the chat feature on the website for a Cast Member to assist you, as well.  Typically, wait times for the chat feature are much shorter than calling Member Services, so this is always my recommendation to help speed things up, if possible. Just be sure to have your Member number and personal information handy before beginning the chat –– the Cast Member will need to verify your Membership information to access your account and make your changes.

Thanks for visiting planDisney, Lisa.  I hope this helped to answer your question, but if you need more information or have any other questions about your Disney Vacation Club Membership, please feel free to stop by again –– we're always here to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
