Hi Ken:

Some Guests are let into the Park prior to official opening if they have reservations at restaurants inside the Parks prior to rope drop. In those cases, Cast Members direct Guests to the restaurant and Guests are not allows to wander through the Park, ride attractions, or shop. Other times, Guests are allowed past the turnstiles before Park opening, but are still not allowed inside the actual Park to shop. Sometimes I've seen the Park open to all Guests up to twenty minutes before announced opening time. In those instances, all attractions and shops are open. Ears are personalized while you wait, so if you are first in line, or when it's your turn, ear personalization should take between five and ten minutes.
