I'm so excited to hear that you will be staying at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The hotel has such a warm and peaceful vibe and it's always a treat to return to a cozy room after a busy day in the parks. One of the things that I love about staying at this hotel is the direct entrance into Disney California Adventure Park. It's so nice to stroll into the park with this entrance just a few steps away from your room.
Unfortunately, the entrance (previously for Pixar Place Hotel guests) that was next to Seaside Souvenirs closed at the beginning of this year and is no longer available. I'm sorry to be the bearer of not-so-magical news. The entrance near Tenaya Stone Spa will still put you in a great spot if your plans include heading to an attraction in Paradise Gardens Park or Pixar Pier at the start of your day.
Not only will you be so close to the theme parks, but there are other perks that you can enjoy during your stay. As a guest of a Disneyland Resort hotel, you will receive one complimentary
Lightning Lane entry for each registered guest during your resort stay. This can be redeemed for any
Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction and you don't need to schedule it ahead of time. I'm not an early riser and loved having this benefit to use at my leisure during my recent stay.
You'll also be visiting during the most delicious time of the year. The
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will be in full swing. I look forward to eating my way through this festival every year. I've already been studying the
Foodie Guide and making my must-try list for my next visit. It looks like the crowd favorite Mickey-shaped Macaron made with SNICKERS bar pieces will be back to satisfy any sweet tooth cravings.
