Let me first say it’s so cool to have a USF Professor on the Panel, I am a proud alumni of USF! I always wanted to celebrate New Year's Eve at Walt Disney World, do the parks or resorts have any New Years Eve Events? If so what do you recommend?

    Hi there, Jimmy!

GO BULLS!! So nice to hear from a USF alum. And thanks for taking the time to contact me!

New Year's Eve at the Walt Disney World Resort is a blast. With the exception of Animal Kingdom. the Parks all offer special nighttime entertainment to mark the occasion. If you're going to visit one of the Parks on New Year's Eve, do arrive early and plan to stay the day. The Parks often reach capacity fairly quickly after operating hours begin, and Guests will not be allowed to enter due to safety restrictions. An early arrival will ensure your spot for the festivities to come!

The Magic Kingdom is scheduled to be open until 2:00 AM. Epcot will be open until 1:00 AM on New Year’s Day.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will remain open until midnight for the general public, and until 3:00 AM for Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guests.

The Magic Kingdom will show Wishes at 8.30 PM and a special New Year’s Eve fireworks spectacular at 11.50 PM.

Epcot will have its Illuminations fireworks show at 7 PM and 11.40 PM

Consider Downtown Disney, too! There will be loads of live street performers, dance parties, and, of course, awesome shopping. DisneyQuest holds a phenomenal New Year's Eve party for the entire family, at approximately $39 per person: you'll enjoy games, pizza, beverages, a live DJ, and a special countdown to the new year.

Have a wonderful time - and happy holidays!

    See you later, celebrator!
