how do i let disney know we are 2 families traveling together but separate rooms. we would like to be close together. my sister is staying 2 nights with 2 day park hopper passes. she can not find where she can get her discounted magic band.

    Welcome back to planDisney, Gena!

I absolutely love visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with my family, and it makes my heart happy to hear you’ve got an upcoming visit with your sister planned. You are going to make so many magical memories together!

To request adjacent rooms, or rooms in close proximity to one another, please call a Reservations Cast Member at (407) 939-1936. While request can’t be guaranteed, the room assigners will do their best to place you as close together as they can. We once visited with my parents, and our rooms were next door to each other. My children LOVED waking up in the morning and running out the door to knock on Grandma and Grandpa’s door for morning snuggles.

For your sister’s MagicBand options, she’ll need to log in to her My Disney Experience account, click on “Plans” and then her resort hotel reservation. If she scrolls down, she should see “Choose MagicBands” and a blue icon of a MagicBand. Tap that, and she’ll be able to see the options for purchase as part of her Walt Disney World Resort reservation. Another way to access MagicBand selections is to select “My Profile” and then “MagicBands and Cards.” On that screen, “Your New MagicBands” should show her the options for purchase.

If she’s unable to see these options in the My Disney Experience mobile app, she should exit the app and then re-open it; if that still doesn’t work, she may need to check for updates in her app store, or she may need to delete and then re-add the My Disney Experience app. If all else fails, the My Disney Experience Cast Members can be reached at (407) 939-4357.

I hope you and your sister have the best time together this spring, Gena! As you plan and dream, be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog for all the updates and news, from announcements about Walt Disney World Resort’s phased reopening to articles featuring the tastiest new treats from around the theme parks and resorts. If you have any further questions, please come back and see us.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
