Welcome Home, Lauren! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney. It is so generous of you to want to share some
Disney Vacation Club magic with your family, and I'll be delighted to talk you through the steps to make it happen. Let's get to it!
Since we became DVC Members a decade ago, we've had the opportunity to use our
Vacation Points for stays for family members, teammates, and even some planDisney pals. I always appreciate the flexibility of Membership and the many ways that points can translate into Disney adventures for your extended
'Ohana!
Lauren, as long as your cousins are over the age of 18, they will be A-OK to enjoy a DVC stay. Although you will make the reservation yourself (either online or by calling
Member Services), you will enter their names and contact information during the booking process. The Primary Guest on the reservation is required to show a photo ID and provide a credit card in their name at the time of check-in, so the age minimum is an important detail to know. If any changes to the reservation or requests need to be made, you must make these as the Member - they will not be able to contact Member Services.
Before your cousins' stay, be sure to let them know that they will be entitled to the benefits of staying at a Deluxe-level resort, including
Early Theme Park Entry and
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours! However, they will
not be able to receive Member discounts or access the Member Lounges.
I hope the stars align for your family to enjoy a delightful Disney Vacation Club getaway! If we can help out with any additional questions about this reservation, or Disney adventures in general, please come see us again at planDisney anytime.
Stay Magical!
Susan
