Less than 3 weeks b4 we fly to LA with 3-day tickets to use between April 19th and 22nd. I've been waiting to see the new 70th Entertainment schedule to make park reservations with hopes of catch fireworks & parade. Any idea when it should be out?

    Hi there, Kim!

A visit during the 70th anniversary celebration is sure to be filled with magic and unforgettable memories. I can understand why you are eager to fill your planning calendar—you won't want to miss a thing! I am visiting next month as well and cannot wait to experience all the festivities myself!

While your question says you are traveling in April, I hope that it is OK to assume you meant May, as the 70th anniversary celebration kicks off on May 16th! As luck would have it, I just took a peek at the Park Hours & Entertainment Calendar, and it looks like showtimes have just been released on the U.S. site, but I can see that the Canadian site is still waiting for this information. Typically, this calendar is updated about six weeks ahead of time, but with such a special event, sometimes Disneyland will wait until we are closer to the launch date before filling in some of those details. I'm happy to share what I can see on the U.S. calendar so you can take a look at everything you'll be able to experience!

I cannot wait to see the Paint the Night Parade meander down Main Street, U.S.A. over at Disneyland Park. While all showtimes are subject to change, it is currently scheduled to make this journey each night of your visit at 8:45 PM and 10:45 PM. My favorite spots to view it are either just in front of the Disneyland Train Station or over by "it's a small world" where the crowds can be a little thinner, especially for the later parade. New this year, you may also want to find time to catch The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade, where you can wave to all of your favorite pals from Mickey to Duffy and everyone in between, every day at both 1:30 PM and 2:45 PM. This will take the same route as Paint the Night and travel either from "it's a small world" to the entrance of the park or vice versa. It sounds like you love a fireworks spectacular just as much as I do, and you're in luck! Barring any issues with weather or unforeseen circumstances, Wondrous Journeys with Fireworks is scheduled to perform each night at 9:30 PM. Over at California Adventure, currently World of Color Happiness! is scheduled for 9:00 PM and 10:15 PM on May 19 and 20, and for only one show at 8:45 PM on May 21 and 22.

I always recommend making your theme park reservations as soon as you have your park tickets in hand. They can always be modified if you'd like to switch them around, provided there is availability, and making those changes is easy to do with just a few taps in the Disneyland App! This will ensure that you at least have a reservation on the books to enjoy the magic.

As you are getting excited for your visit, I highly recommend checking out the Disney Parks Blog guide to the 70th Anniversary. This is where the resort has been dropping updates and exciting news!

Kim, I hope this was helpful and we've set you up for a magical visit! If you have any more questions, you know where to find us here at planDisney.

    See ya real soon!
