Less than a month to go until our Disney trip! Is there any reason for me to carry cash or credit cards in the park or can I pay for everything, including the vendors walking around the park, with the magic band?

Hello Kimberly! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I enjoy being able to consolidate my payments during a Walt Disney World Resort vacation onto my one account and pay for most of my purchases using my MagicBand.

While there are many Dining Locations, Shops, and Stores on Walt Disney World Resort property that allow you to scan your MagicBand as a form of payment, there are a few instances in which having cash or a credit card on hand is preferable.

There are a few locations in Disney Springs that do not allow you to scan your MagicBand for payment, in addition to a few kiosks and strolling vendors, such as balloon vendors, that do not have the means to scan a MagicBand for payment.

There have been many Theme Park and Disney Springs visits where I have spent entire days using my MagicBand as my sole source of payment. Having said that, I recommend that you carry a credit card and a small amount of money when you travel through the Theme Parks and Disney Springs for any unsuspected purchases that cannot use a MagicBand for payment to avoid any unforeseen disappointments.

    Have a Magical Visit!
