Hi Cheryl,
Hooray for having such a great countdown to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
First, let me say kudos for doing
Online Check-in. We love Online Check-in because we can then sign up for text message alerts and when I get the alert that our room is ready, we can go straight to the room! What you describe has happened to me before. In that case, there may not be any preference options to select during the Online Check-in process. I then have
contacted a Cast Member by phone to ask them to make a note of our room and/or building requests on the reservation.
When you arrive and do get that notification that your room is ready, remember to double-check the room assigned. If they have not assigned a room that matches your preferences, call the number in the text message. They may be able to change your assigned room. If they can, you may have to wait a little longer for your room to be ready. At our favorite resorts, we prefer first floor rooms, so we always try to make that request.
Since you are at that 60-day mark, I trust you made some
advanced dining reservations. If not, I strongly suggest that you do. Although I have used the
Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability feature in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, I prefer having those reservations already in place since Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability can be quite limited in my experience.
Cheryl, my family also loves creating a little extra magic. Take a look at the
Enchanting Extras Collection. There may be a special experience that your family would enjoy. I trust that your superhero planning skills have inspired your family to pack the
matching gear and get ready for your next
Incredible Disney Day!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
