When is a less crowded time for 3 senior women to visit. We are all very mobile.

Hello there Patricia!  I am delighted to help you with your question, thank you for stopping by planDisney!

A girls trip to the Disneyland Resort is always a great idea in my opinion, and I'm sure you and your friends will have the best time!  There are always going to be crowds when you visit, but I have found there are two time periods that do seem to be less busy. I recommend visiting in mid-January after the holiday season has ended, and avoiding the holiday weekend mid-month.  The runDisney Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend is also taking place the last weekend in January.

February can also be a great time to visit, however you do want to be mindful of the holiday weekend mid-month where many families travel due to school breaks.  We have visited many times during February, and the weather is cooler, and the crowds definitely seemed lower to us than other times of the year.  You could experience the Lunar New Year celebration as well during this time!

My final recommendation would be in September after Labor Day, when many kids have gone back to school.  Halloween Time will also be celebrated throughout the entire Disneyland Resort in September, and there will be a ton of delicious seasonal treats and fun photo opportunities for you all to enjoy!

My final piece of advice to experience lower crowds is to get to the parks first thing in the morning, and aim to arrive to the security checkpoint an hour before the parks are scheduled to open.  The hours & events calendar will be a great resource for planning.  You can get so much accomplished during those first few morning hours, and even take a midday break in the afternoon if needed.  Grabbing a coffee and strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. in the morning sounds like the perfect way to start the day!

I'm wishing you and your friends a wonderful trip full of core memories, Patricia!  If I can help with any other questions for your trip, please do not hesitate to follow-up with me directly.

    Have a magical day!
