Hi Leslie, Can you tell me the frequency of the Large to Small waves in the Wave Pool at Typhoon Lagoon? I would like to know how often the big waves come. Thanks!

    Hi Matthew!

Typhoon Lagoon is my favorite water park at Walt Disney World!  My son and I like to take on the waves in the Surf Pool.  He gets really excited when he sees those 6 foot waves come barreling at us.

The waves alternate between the giant surf-style waves and gentle bobbing waves.  I have been told that the surf waves are in a 90 minute cycle and then 30 minutes for the bobbing waves.  The surf waves come every 90 seconds.  I will tell you that the last time we were out for the waves, the first one of the 90 minute cycle seemed pretty tame, so we went out a little further for the next one.  Well, the next one was a lot stronger and knocked us both down.  Test out the first few waves to begin with to get an idea on how strong they can be before you venture to go out really far.

    Have a magical day!
