    Francis from VA Asked

I am legally blind. I will be staying at WDW from December 9 through the 13. Is the dAS system still in place? If so, considering that Fast Pass is suspended for the time being, how does DAS work? Thank you

    Merriest greetings to you, Francis!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

Francis, I love that you will be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of the yEAR! Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort are so very enchanting. You’re in for a treat as you take in the sounds of the Main Street Philharmonic with Toy Soldiers as they march down Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park. Taste the delectable delights at the Holiday Kitchens around the World Showcase at EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, and enjoy Voices of Liberty with their stunning harmonies for a special concert! Francis, you’re going to have the most magical time!

Services for Guests with Disabilities such as the Disability Access Service is absolutely still in place. You would go to Guest Relations, located in every Theme Park, when you first enter the parks with your entire party. They can provide you with a disability pass by setting up the service for you. The way it works right now is a Cast Member at your attraction of choice will provide you a time slot for that attraction. Although FastPass+ service isn’t available at the moment, you will get to pass through the FastPass+ queue using the Disability Access Service.

Francis, you may find the Guide for Guests with Visual Disabilities to be helpful! In it, you will find a variety of types of services to help you enjoy your visit.

As you prepare for your return to the magic, I want you to know Disney is doing everything they can to make Guest and Cast Member safety a priority. Here is a Know Before You Go guide to help you with all of the latest updates! Also, to limit capacity in each Theme Park, Disney has introduced the new Disney Park Pass system.  If you haven't already, be sure to make your Disney Park Pass reservations so you’re able to enjoy the magical Theme Parks of your choice.

I hope you have the most enchanting visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Francis!
