Are legal names required on tickets and reservations, or could my friend use her preferred name instead? My friend isn't booking the tickets (I am) but I'd like to ensure she can use the name she's most comfortable with. Thanks!

Hi there, Kathleen! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!

When assigning names to theme park tickets, you can use whatever name you prefer. The name on the ticket is just for organizational purposes on your end. The ticket isn't officially assigned to an individual until it is scanned at the park gates and a Cast Member takes their photo.

In addition to your theme park ticket and reservations, be sure that both of you download and familiarize yourself with the Disneyland app before you visit. It will be your best tool for navigating the parks efficiently. You can view attraction wait times, mobile order food from a variety of quick service locations, and it will be how you use the new Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ features that will be launching soon.

I hope you and your friend have a delightful time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
