I am going to use my legacy/old park hopper passes soon. There used to be something called a 'fast pass' that could be purchased in order to reduce attraction wait times....I don't think that 'fast passes' exist today..please advise.

    Welcome to planDisney, James!

What a treasure you have found in your old park hopper tickets!  Walt Disney World Resort continues to honor all unexpired tickets.  I have a few unexpired days left on my old park hopper tickets too.  I have been using them up sloooowly for quick trips when I only need a day or two of admission.

You'll want to make sure your tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account.  Certain older tickets are unable to be linked and will need to be exchanged at Guest Relations or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs.  At this time, in order to enter a theme park, all Guests ages 3 and up will need to make theme park reservations using the Disney Park Pass system, in addition to valid admission.

Once your tickets are linked and your Disney Park Pass reservations are in place, you'll be all set and ready to go!  You are correct that the FastPass system has been retired.  Guests are now able to purchase Disney Genie+ service through the My Disney Experience mobile app anytime after midnight on the date of their visit.  Guests may reserve one Lightning Lane attraction at a time beginning at 7:00 am and can reserve their next Lightning Lane attraction as soon as they have redeemed the first, or 2 hours after scheduled park opening time, whichever comes first.  Subsequent Lightning Lane attractions may then be booked after either redeeming their current Lightning Lane reservation, or 2 hours after booking the most recent Lightning Lane.

Some attractions are also available a la carte as individual Lightning Lane purchases.  Current Individual Lightning Lane selections are Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom Park, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.  Guests may purchase up to 2 individual Lightning Lane attractions per day.  Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel may purchase individual Lightning Lane access beginning at 7:00 am; all other Guests may make their purchases at the scheduled park opening time.

To purchase Disney Genie+ service on the date of your visit, use the menu button in the lower right corner of the My Disney Experience app to select "My Genie Day", then scroll to the purple banner where you see "Get Disney Genie+ for Today".  To purchase an individual Lightning Lane attraction, use the "Tip Board".  You'll see pricing for those attractions currently offering individual Lightning Lane.

I know all of that sounds confusing, but once you get started, it will all make much more sense.  On my recent trip, I purchased Disney Genie+ service each day shortly before 7:00 am, and then used the "Tip Board" to select a Lightning Lane attraction.  In chatting with a Cast Member of the Guest Experience Team, she let me know that most Guests can expect to experience approximately 3 Lightning Lane attractions per day with Disney Genie+ service.

If you have any additional questions, please stop back to see us again -- we are always happy to help.  Enjoy your visit during The World's Most Magical Celebration!
