Hi there, Mallory,
Welcome to planDisney! This is such a smart question to ask before you head to the Walt Disney World Resort because tickets can be a little tricky when you have more than one linked to your account. The good news is that when you tap into the park using your MagicBand, card, or
Disney MagicMobile pass, the system will usually choose the “highest priority” ticket automatically. That said, sometimes it doesn’t quite read your mind the way we wish it would... especially if you’ve got a mix of different types like your leftover single-day ticket and Park Hopper tickets.
Here’s my best tip: stop by a
Guest Relations location outside the entrance before you scan in for the first time. A friendly Cast Member can take a look at the tickets linked to your account and make sure the one you want to use is prioritized correctly. That way, you won’t risk “using up” the wrong ticket when you tap in. If you’d like, you can also call the
Existing Tickets line before your trip, but in my experience, it’s quickest and easiest to have them do it right at the tapstiles.
I once had a similar situation with a mix of old and new tickets, and the Cast Member sprinkled a little pixie dust by making sure everything was in order before I set foot in Magic Kingdom. It gave me so much peace of mind!
I hope this helps you set off for your magical vacation worry-free, Mallory. Wishing you the most unforgettable time filled with adventure, laughter, and maybe even a DOLE Whip or two!
See ya real soon,
Emille
