We have left the last 2 days of our Disney vacation "open"... not sure what we will want t to do these days. Consequently, I have not made any Table Service dinner reservations. Am I crazy to think we will be able to get in anywhere without rese

    Hi, Tamara!

Hey, this is your vacation and you should have a couple days of leisure!  Sometimes it is nice to have some time that is not all booked up with activities and reservations.

No worries, you will still get to eat dinner!  You might have to be a bit flexible in your choices of time and location however.  What I would do is head to your resort concierge and ask where you can get in.  This will save you walking from restaurant to restaurant looking for an open table.

For fun, I just checked what was open for tonight (now this will always change, but this is a very non-scientific experiment here!)  You will not believe this, but my options are everything from Chef Mickey's to Crystal Palace to Cape May Cafe! I suggest you try to make a decision at least a few hours ahead of time to have your time secured.

If everything is booked, or at least there is nothing that is of interest to you, you can always go for quick service.  Stop by a new resort and eat there.  We love popping into the Polynesian and eating at Captain Cooks, then lounging on their beach to watch fireworks.  A very fun night with no planning required!

If you need some more ideas of "no planning" nights, let me know, I'm happy to help.  Wishing you a wonderful, care-free Walt Disney World vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
