Welcome aboard, Sascha!
I'm so excited for you to discover the wonders of the Last Frontier! It's going to be an amazing adventure! One of the highlights of my trip to
Alaska last summer was visiting Icy Strait Point. I see you’re stopping there too. We went on a whale-watching tour, and it was absolutely fantastic! Witnessing those majestic whales breaching was breathtaking. Everywhere we looked, there were tails, fins, and leaps from the water – it was unforgettable!
Alaska can be surprisingly cool, even in the summer months, so be sure to pack plenty of layers. Formal Night is planned for Tuesday, followed by Semi-Formal night on Saturday. The
Freezing the Night Away Deck Party is on Friday, where the ship transforms into a winter wonderland to complement the Alaskan chill. You’ll find a flurry of activities throughout the day, and even the dining rooms join in, offering delicious traditional Nordic-inspired dishes. Pirates don’t like the cold, so they, unfortunately, will not be joining you on this trip. But there will still be plenty of fun activities to enjoy!
Once aboard, check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for each night’s suggested
dining attire and the full entertainment schedule. As you sail into Endicott Arm, keep an eye out for special photo opportunities scattered around the ship. Make sure to snap a photo with Captains Mickey and Minnie in their charming Alaskan attire – they're pretty popular, so get in line early for this unforgettable shot! Don’t worry about the chilly weather; cozy blankets and piping hot chocolate are on deck to keep you warm and snug throughout your journey.
I hope this helps as you
pack those final items in your suitcase. If you have any more questions, feel free to come back and chat with us again. We love helping Guests plan unforgettable vacations at sea!
SEAS the adventure!
