    We'll be leaving in 4 weeks for a trip with our 2 and 3 year olds who are constantly tallking about "Dizzy Wood". How do you suggest counting down the time until the trip so they can look forward to it and have some concept of the time span until

    Hi Darren

    In my house we print up some blank calenders about a month before we leave.  We fill in all of the activities we have for the month.  Then we cross off each day until we get to the start of our vacation.

    This also helps highlight other family activities besides Disney World.  My daughter, who is three, can't get the concept of 4 weeks, but she can understand that we don't leave for Disney World until after her cousin's birthday.
