Hi Wendy, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Birthdays and Walt Disney World go together like...well, like birthday cake and ice cream! There's no better way to celebrate a special occasion than a visit to this magical place. Let's help you make the most of your twins' big day.
First of all, be sure to pick up a pair of "Happy Birthday" celebration buttons that your kids can proudly wear for all to see. They'll feel so special when people wish them birthday greetings throughout the day. You can find the buttons at the front desk of your Resort hotel if you're staying on Disney property, or at the Guest Relations locations and most shops in the Theme Parks.
If you've already made dining reservations for your twins' birthday, you can order a birthday cake to be delivered right to your table. You need at least 72 hours' advance notice for a custom cake, but there's also a "Celebrate Today!" cake option that you can order anytime before your meal.
One other idea that I bet your kids would flip for is an in-room delivery of birthday gifts and decorations just for their special day. I can't imagine any 9-year-old not loving a birthday celebration left for them by Mickey Mouse himself!
All of these ideas, plus a whole lot more, can be found on the "Customize Your Special Occasion" page on the Disney website. I hope this helps spark your own birthday celebration ideas, Wendy. Please stop by and see us again if you have any more questions. And the happiest of birthdays to your twins!
Have a magical day,
Kathy K.
