We will be leaving for WDW in 5 days & my son's 9th b-day is Sat. the 7th. Our daughter's 9th B-day is in April. I am looking for something to make her feel just as special. She is a tomboy, so I don't think BBB princess idea is for her. Ideas?

    Hi Deanna -

It sounds like Happy Birthday wishes are in order for both of your children!  Don't worry, even though your daughter doesn't qualify for the special birthday promotion, you can still celebrate her birthday in style.

Be sure to get a birthday button for both of your children when you enter the parks.  These are available at special kiosks in the Magic Kingdom and at guest relations in the other parks, and it doesn't have to be your actual birthday to get one.  Cast members look for guests wearing these buttons. They will wish them Happy Birthday and do whatever they can to make their celebration as magical as possible.

There are many ways to make a birthday (or an un-birthday) special at Disney World.  Have you made any dining reservations?  You can order a custom cake to be delivered to your table after dinner at many of the restaurants.  Call (407) 827-2253 for more information or to place an order.  There are also individual Pirate or Princess cakes available at character dining locations.

Check HERE to see a listing of all of the many ways to celebrate their special day!!

    Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
