Will be leaving for WDW in 30 days!!! Our first trip with our 7 yr. old daughter. Staying at Boardwalk Villas. Any suggestions for traveling to each park and does anyone have any suggestions or comments about Boardwalk Villas?

    Hi Diana!

You certainly have selected a magical place to stay for your first trip to Walt Disney World with your daughter!  I just checked out of Disney's Boardwalk Inn two weeks ago. (The Inn and Villas portion of this lovely resort are on either side of the resort's lobby).  I loved staying at this resort.  One of the things I appreciated most about staying there was the resort's proximity to two of the four Disney theme parks.  You can literally WALK to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  It takes no more than 10 minutes to walk (you can take the boat if you prefer) to the International Gateway entrance of Epcot.  I have found that walking is always faster than taking the boat to this park.  It takes roughly 20 minutes to walk to the entrance of Disney's Hollywood Studios from Disney's Boardwalk Villas.  (The Villas side of the resort is closer than the Inn side).  Again, if you prefer not to walk this far, hop on a Friendship Boat and you'll be there in no time.

To get to the Magic Kingdom or Disney's Animal Kingdom, simply board a Disney bus at the front of Disney's Boardwalk Inn.   It's a short (15-20 minutes) ride to either of these parks from Disney's Boardwalk Inn and Villas.

Be sure to check the resort's activities guide when you check in.  There are some fun activities taking place throughout the resort complex.  Pay particular attention to the gifted performers who appear on the boardwalk between the resort and Crescent Lake.  They are quite entertaining!  And be sure to check out the Screen Door General Store.  I think it's one of the best resort gift shops in all of Walt Disney World.  One more thing:  if you enjoy sugary treats, don't miss the selection of goodies at Seashore Sweets.  There are too many delicacies there to experience in one vacation, but it would be fun to try!

Enjoy your 30 day countdown to fun!
