Leaving for water park vacation next Tues. Should I bring my 1 y.o.'s life vest or do they have ones small enough for a very petite little one (~ 22 lbs.)? Best place to set up camp at each water park with her? Can she ride lazy river with me?

I would suggest bringing your daughter's life vest from home, Melissa.  There is no guarantee that Disney will have any tiny ones available when you visit and I'd hate to think of your little one at a water park without a life vest.  Either way, she is welcome to ride the lazy river with you; there are no age or height requirements.  In fact, the youngest guests often enjoy floating along on one of the rafts that have a built-in bottom, rather than a whole in the middle of the tube.  Those provide a bit more stability.  Still, you might feel more secure having her right on your lap.

As for the best spots to camp out for the day, we like the sandy beaches near Typhoon Tilly's at Typhoon Lagoon.  At Blizzard Beach, you might find that a spot near Tike's Peak would make for a convenient day camp.  Enjoy your water park vacation!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists.
