Leaving in two days. However on Thursday I slipped on ice fell and hurt my foot. I can't walk very well. Can I rent a wheel chair or scooter at the parks and downtown. I am staying off property

    Hi Christine,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and… ACK! Poor you!! I bet you can hardly wait to escape this brutal Canadian winter and get some sun and heat at the Walt Disney World Resort in 2 days!

The good news is that wheelchairs are available to rent throughout Walt Disney World Resort, including all of the Theme Parks and Downtown Disney, regardless of whether you are staying in a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) are also available to rent at these locations.

One thing to keep in mind is that wheelchairs and ECVs cannot be removed from the location in which they were rented. For that reason, you might want to look into the Disney Featured Providers that can rent you a wheelchair or ECV that you can use during your entire stay in the Orlando area.  Please visit the website that I’ve linked to above for more information and to get a list of these providers.

Enjoy your trip. I hope that some fun in the sun will help you get better soon!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
